Daily Log

On Thursday, how bad was Monday?

Bad days blur together. Rate yours in about a minute and the week comes back as one picture, rather than a guess.

Your week, in one picture

Example

Each square is one day. Darker colours are worse days. Striped squares are days you skipped, and skipping is allowed.

An example week, not real data. It shows three of the six symptoms. Yours starts empty and fills in from your first entry.

What it gives you back

After a week or two

A week you can see

Instead of "it has been bad lately", a picture of which days were worse and by how much. Memory flattens a bad fortnight into one grey blur. A record does not.

Something to take to a doctor

Ten minutes in an appointment goes further with thirty days of entries than with a recollection. You can print this or read it straight off your phone.

Whether sleep and stress move with it

Both are recorded beside your symptoms, so you can see whether your worst days follow a short night or a hard week. That is difficult to judge from inside one.

Whether a change did anything

Drop something for a fortnight and the record either shifts or it does not. A clear no is worth as much as a yes, and it saves you cutting out food you never needed to.

What it will not do is tell you what caused anything. It reports what you wrote down, and points at what is worth testing properly.

What you fill in

Four questions
01

How the symptoms felt

A short list, each one rated None, Mild, Moderate or Severe. Tapping, not typing.

02

What you ate

Foods come from a set list rather than a text box, so what you tick on Monday means the same thing on Friday.

03

Sleep and stress

Two more taps, recorded next to the rest, so you can look at them together.

04

Anything worth remembering

One optional line. Travel, a new supplement, a bad night, a good one.

One entry a day. You can change today's as often as you like.

What happens to what you write

You can log for 3 days without an account. Until you add an email, nothing in your log names you, and the log is held by a cookie on this browser, so clearing your cookies loses it.

Adding an email after that keeps the log and lets it open on your phone as well.

These are health notes and they are treated as such. They are not sold. Nothing goes to anyone outside the services that run this site, and those are named on the privacy page.

Logging and your weekly picture are free. If a paid report is added later, nothing you have already logged moves behind it.
